Fill Dirt

Fill dirt is found beneath the top layer of the Earth and is made up of broken down rocks, clay and sand. The main reason for this material is stability. Fill dirt has no organic matter that can decompose so it won’t shift or move. This multipurpose material can be used to fill-in or level out areas, as well as elevate the grade of a site, and build pads or foundation to pour concrete over.

Topsoil

Top soil is exactly what it sounds like. It’s the top, most outermost layer of the soil, usually the top 5 to 10 inches. It has the highest concentration of organic matter and is composed of mineral particles, organic matter, water and air. This makes it a crucial product for landscaping, gardening and farming.

Fill Sand

This yellow/orange colored sand is not screened or washed. It is a heavy sand with small amounts of clay. Primarily used for berms or house pads.

Biochar

Biochar is defined as carbonised biomass obtained from sustainable sources and sequestered in soils to sustainably enhance their agricultural and environmental value under present and future management. This distinguishes it from charcoal that is used as fuel for heat, as a filter, as a reductant in iron-making or as a colouring agent in industry or art (Lehmann and Joseph, 2015).Biochar, a porous material, can help retain water and nutrients in the soil for the plants to take up as they grow.

Clay

Our red clay is a sandy/clay that can be used for horse stall pads. This product is not screened or washed.

Aggregate

Aggregate, in building and construction, material used for mixing with cement, bitumen, lime, gypsum, or other adhesive to form concrete or mortar. The aggregate gives volume, stability, resistance to wear or erosion, and other desired physical properties to the finished product.
